Join us on a wheelbarrow push

around Ipswich

 

 

Bank Holiday Sunday 3rd June

Pimp yourselves and your barrow to win a prize for the best 'pimped' team

Customise the design of your wheelbarrow and yourselves to show off your personality, business or club

Teams of 5 max (one passenger and four pushers per barrow)

Minimum age 16 years to take part

At least one member of the team must be 18 or over

Registration fee £50 with a minimum £150 sponsorship to be raised per team

The push starts at The Black Horse pub, calling at The Greyhound, through Christchurch Park

The event is organised and marshalled by the Rotary Club of Ipswich East and is one of the biggest annual fundraising events in East Anglia

 

 

 

Ekiden Relay

The Ipswich Ekiden is a fantastic way for groups of people to get fit and raise valuable funds for the Cancer Campaign in Suffolk. So what is an Ekiden?
An Ekiden is a Japanese word for a long distance relay race. The Ipswich event is the only "Ekiden" in the UK, and is run at St Josephs College

July 15th 2012


Teams of 6 runners, with legs of 7.2 k (approx 4 miles), 3 legs of 5 k (3.1 miles each) and 2 x 10k (6.2 miles), making a total of 26.2 miles, the official marathon distance.
All the profits from the race are donated to charity, with the Cancer Campaign in Suffolk being one of this years beneficiaries, along with another cancer charity
