Supporters around Henley nr. Ipswich have been raising funds for Cancer Campaign in Suffolk in a variety of ways. Mark, the landlord of the Henley Cross Keys organised a St. Georges Day Quiz on April 23rd, and one of his regulars, cancer patient Allan Austin, was encouraged to help the fundraising by tri-cycling 50-miles around Suffolk. Altogether around £303 was raised for the charity. (the photo shows the winning Quiz team receiving their prizes from Mark)
And of course, Mark himself was spurred on to run the Quiz, by the fundraising initiative of two other cancer patients, Jose Hall and Jenny Knights who will be organising a 6-mile Whit Sunday Walk around Rise Hall Farm in Akenham and the surrounding countryside.
