Nikon Coolscope & Colposcopy Laser Unit
This piece of equipment was funded with funds received from the proceeds of the Dale Roberts Testimonial Fund. Dale Roberts was the Assistant Manager of Ipswich Town Football Club and died in 2003. The equipment is portable and is used all over the hospital for the benefit of cancer patients.
This is digital microscopy equipment which allows better support to the multidisciplinary cancer team meetings. It is a sophisticated automatic microscope which allows fields on a microscopy slide to be electronically ‘marked’ to allow pre-labelling of slides prior to meetings and can be operated across a network. And to support the digital recording of images, two of the consultant microscopes require digital cameras.
